Let's join together and help support our community affected by Cyclone Gabrielle

At Paper Rain, we believe in continuously supporting our local community and giving back to local causes. The weather events of 2023 have been truly destructive, and our hearts are absolutely broken. Cyclone Gabrielle, along with record rainfall in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland and damaging flooding in Northland and the Coromandel, has left many people in need of support. With water submerging homes and entire neighbourhoods, people and families have lost everything, leaving over 10,000 Kiwis displaced. Tragically, lives were lost, and the full extent of the damage these weather events have caused will take a long time to be fully understood.

To help those affected by Cyclone Gabrielle, we're pledging to donate 5% of the proceeds from our t-shirt and tote sales and $10 from every board sale to the New Zealand Disaster Fund, which will help fund the vital work being undertaken by the New Zealand Red Cross. We understand that this disaster has had a significant impact on our local community, and we want to do our part to help those who have been affected.

By making a purchase from our business, you'll be contributing to the relief efforts and helping those in need. We always donate to local causes on every sale we make, but for the month of March, we're focusing on providing support to Cyclone Gabrielle victims.

We encourage people to consider making a direct donation to the New Zealand Disaster Fund as well. Every donation, no matter how small, can make a significant impact in helping those who have been affected by Cyclone Gabrielle. You can make a donation to the fund by visiting this link.

We understand that times are tough for everyone, and we appreciate any support that you can offer. By working together as a community, we can make a difference and help those affected by Cyclone Gabrielle.

Thank you for your support, and please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.

With much love and aroha,

Trish & Terry
